WHAT IS MEAT BODY AND SOUL?

After teaching/educating on nutrition, lifestyle, and fitness for over 20 years, three main facets create more results than any others in both my clients and myself:

  1. MEAT - I will be preaching protein until the day I die.  I have seen how adequate animal protein heals and rebuilds the body in a variety of ways.  Gut issues, thyroid issues, diabetes, auto-immune - all reversed when I have had my clients focus on meat-based approaches. While I respect the vegan lifestyle, I recommend animal protein in order to heal the cells of the body. Think of it like this: you will never see meat in your stool, but you might see things like corn, carrots, lettuce, nuts.  Meat goes to work breaking down into the building blocks of the body (amino acids) and also speeds thyroid function by providing Tyrosine (the animo acid that is part of the thyroid hormone ....the T in T3, T4, T2 stands for tyrosine).

  2. BODY - Listening to the body is essential to health.  Natural human rhythms are essential to health. Circadian biology tells us the body needs movement, sunlight, nature, grounding, and sleep/rest. Spending too much time on devices, you will feel symptoms of anxiety, headaches, eye strain, and sleep issues. Spending time moving in nature, such as walking outdoors, hiking, running, paddling, bicycling, even simply just gardening will calm your anxiety, improve your eyesight by looking at the horizon, help you make Vitamin D and other hormones, and improve your mood. Getting adequate rest/sleep is how we recover, rebuild our tissues, repair damage, and remove toxins. These are all things I have worked on and love working on with clients to eliminate their issues.

  3. SOUL - Contrary to popular belief, we don’t have a soul, we ARE a soul. The Hebrew word “ne’phesh” and Greek word “psy-khe” translates to mean earthly creatures, or that which is tangible, visible, mortal, life, person, one’s whole being.  So part of improving one’s self is dealing with the emotions, the trauma, the stress that the person is under.  Stress management, emotional work, digging deeper into when symptoms begin (usually after something traumatic) is the highlight of what I love to work on, and have seen transformational differences happen when emotions are processed and stress is reduced.
